Celebrate like Kings and Queens
Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Brunei have public holidays to celebrate theirs kings and queens. They are commemorated on their birthdays, in memory of their lives, and in honor of their coronations.
Altogether, there are a total of 13 public holidays for the monarchy across these countries. Of the 13, eight are birthday parties!
Out of the eight celebrations, five are for kings (including for the Sultan and the Agong) while three are for queens.
