ASEAN Public Holiday 2024 Data Observations
Amongst the possible questions in the dataset, this one gives the strongest insight. By asking, “How many ASEAN countries celebrate more than 15 public holidays in the year 2024?” the data becomes more than just a list of dates and occasions. It reveals how public holidays differ across countries and reflects the influence of culture, religion, and national policy within the region. The question also helps shift the analysis from simple description to comparison, which makes the findings more meaningful. Because of that, it brings out a clearer pattern in the data and shows how numbers can reflect broader social differences across ASEAN.
Labour Day is a holiday celebration wherein people show appreciation to workers and highlight their contributions and the importance of their role, which creates an impact on individuals and the country. Our research question is "Which countries among the ASEAN members celebrate Labour Day?" We chose this because of our curiosity about how many countries honor workers and their work. By showcasing the data that answers our question, people can gain insight into how many and which countries celebrate, value, recognize, and honor workers, and their sacrifices, hard work, and effort.
